PARKING CHANGES - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The City of Perth supported WA Police with a trial closure of James Street in Northbridge. The four-week trial commenced Friday 28 October and concluded Sunday 20 November 2022.
Friday 2 December 2022, the City of Perth implemented changes to parking conditions on James Street between Lake and William Street. Sections of James Street parking are now a ‘15 minute set-down or pick-up’ zone for all drivers seeking parking between 8am to 6pm from Monday - Sunday. These parking changes are applied to all vehicles entering James Street.
changes commencing Friday 2 DECEMBER 2022:
1. All unrestricted parking bays after 6pm will become '15-minute pick-up and drop-off bays'.
(Bays will initially be changed via hooding, later to be replaced by physical signs)
2. Parking bays within James Street which are already restricted will remain unchanged.
Already restricted bays are as follows:
- "No stopping other times" (alfresco bays)
- "Loading zone at all times"
- "5-minute bays"
