Stakeholder Engagement phase has now concluded
Project Background
Safe and inviting public spaces are a key priority for the City of Perth. The Safe City Initiatives project seeks to improve safety in our public spaces in a way that also contributes to the attractiveness and enjoyment of the place.
In November 2019 the City undertook a Crowded Places Security audit and as a result, a number of improvements are now proposed in the following public spaces, with a focus on people safety and reducing vehicle access:
- Northbridge Piazza
- Russell Square
- Langley Park
- Supreme Court Gardens
Works are being staged over two financial years, commencing in 2021 and include:
- Tree planting
- Street and park furniture installation
- Kerb and footpath modifications
